The Raymond Ackerman Golf Academy, which is based at Clovelly Country Club, is an educational, life skills and sports based outreach programme which was established in 2003.

RAGA has since grown and developed into a unique youth development organisation offering a safe and happy environment for High School students living in Masiphumelele and Ocean View.

An extensive after school’s academic support programme, with qualified tutors, gives students the opportunity to achieve the very best they can. To date the Academy has consistently obtained a 100% matric pass rate. In 2019 twelve of the nineteen matriculants achieved a Bachelor pass and among them they obtained fourteen distinctions.

A wide range of life skills activities, based on the internationally recognised President’s Award programme, includes music and dance classes, public speaking, community service, swimming coaching, annual camps incorporating an ‘adventurous journey’, all leading to the attainment of Bronze, Silver and, ultimately, Gold Awards.
